Champagne, Cupcakes and Fashion

Who knew instagram could lead to a networking success. Last week I attended my first boutique party at Dame, celebrating the start up of shopdame.com. My invitation was passed along to me by friend Karolynh who catered the event with her delicious vegan cupcakes. She ended up with the gig by chatting with store owners over instagram. Thank goodness for social media.

I walked in and saw a sea of colorful clothing and listened to the beats from the dj playing on top of the platform in the window. I was greeted by friendly faces from those that were familiar with the store. My friend had beautiful display of her cupcakes, of both mini and regular sized cupcakes that were indulged by many of the guests.

I personally enjoyed looking through the unique fashions of Dame, especially the long colorful dresses. Simple styles and designs but unique enough to be one of a kind. I was most attracted to the accessories which I bought two rings one of a shell shape and double ring in the shape of stars. Maybe it was the music, the bubbly of the complimentary champagne, the love for cupcakes or the love for fashion but the store filled up with people fast. I guess fashion and cupcakes do go together.
