I must say that this past weekend i was surrounded by people who i love and people who love me. And i think that, that statement is a very strong statement within itself. Because it is important to love the right people and that they love you back.
Friday: First full day of work at my new job. I feel like i'm in a maze sometimes, since everything is so new to me. Sometimes I;ll go down the right path and end up where i'm suppose to, and other times I'll just end up completely lost and my boss has to point out where to go. But i know that this job it going to be one of those challenging but ultimately rewarding experiences. :P.
But after work i went to my good friend's graduation party. It was so fun watching her cousins, her aunts and even her mom get down on the dance floor. It was nice to watch a family dance and not get embarrassed because it wasn't my family trying to dance.
Saturday: Was in Santa Barbara for my best friends birthday! And i must say visiting the infamous Tajo House is always a lot of fun. So the first thing i do when i walk in is head straight for the bathroom. 3 hour drive and holding it in the entire time was not the business. So when i rush into the bathroom, all the walls are completely plastered with porn. yes porn. I was peeing with about 20 sets of boobs in my face. and of course the porn decor was my best friends idea. Any way the night was filled with beer pong, jello shots, laughter, ass slaps, meet and greets, inappropriate language, good food, making fun of the token blind person, and every one, except always sober me, getting really drunk. But i had a great time. and the high light of the night was my friend being so drunk that he let the birthday boy shoot him, bare in the ass with a paintball gun. Ouch is an understatement.
Sunday: A very productive beat jerkeez rehearsal. I'm so blessed to be able to not only dance but dance around people who make me laugh, make me feel good, who challenge me and inspire me.
Oprah once said " surround yourself only with those who lift you higher" I couldn't agree more. not wonder she has her own show.
People experience and overcome some amazing things all in which are stories waiting to be told. My mission is to write about the untold stories of people. My second mission is to share with you my experiences by reviewing the random and interesting places I find myself getting into.
