small things- Lomita Thai cafe Review
big things come in small packages. Especially when it comes to restaurants. anyone that lives in L.A. or L.A. county knows of the robotic morning routine almost everyone has to get to work. It seems like when get in the car, the drive as well as our mind turn on to automatic, as our body tries to salvage every last drop of caffeine we put into our bodies. We often drive past some of the cities best kept secrets. This was almost the case for me, but one day these bright red walls that seemed to form a restaurant that is about half the size of my apartment caught my attention. Lomita Thai Cafe, i honestly thought it was the cutest thing, tucked in right off of Pch in between a liquor store and a small shopping plaza.
Being a slave to my busy schedule i would continuously pass by the small little mystery and thought to myself one day.Today was that day.
walking into the small restaurant seated for only 20, i was welcomed by the smiling waitress who immediately provided me with a menu after sitting down.
Still a little unfamiliar with thai cuisine i ordered the shrimp fried rice which was about 8 bucks but then had to order egg rolls because there was a 12 dollar min for cards.
when the egg rolls first came out, was impressed by the lay out. they weren't your average egg rolls, they were cut in almost a triangular designed and seasoned to perfection.
the the shrimp fried rice came out in a dome like shape with vegetables sprouting from the top as if it was a center piece instead of the main dishes.
The rice was soft and tender, it might be the best texture of rice i have ever tasted, and the flavor lasted in my mouth after every bite.
To wrap it all up, i give Lomita Thai Cafe an A, and a plus for walking me out the door. Manners are so hard to find these days.
Needless to say, i was happy to see that they do delivery, but i wouldn't mind stopping by this cozy little corner
