Ink and Iron

Walking in faces are seen every where. Faces jumping out from skin. Faces on legs, arms, backs and heads. Flowers sprouting from sides, torsos, and feet, and blooming onto skin. Letters, words, names written on, drawn on and carved into the canvas that are human skin. Where art is a permanent mark of expression, all at Ink and Iron.
Ink and Iron is not just a tattoo and music festival but a mixture of a cornucopia of things. There is a mixture of art, some done through paintings and pen, and other artwork done through needles and ink. A mixture of music, pyschoabilly and rockabilly. A mixture of international tattoo artists, some from Japan, Pittsburgh, and Sweden and many more countries around the world. A mixture of glistening mint condition classic cars. And all an all around mixture of culture.

Walking the main streets of the event, the crowds were filled with diverse people. young and old, some with tattooed sleeves, legs and faces. Women with high hair and eye shadowed eyes. Surrounding the crowds are booths and vendors of all kinds. Booths filled with hats, clothes, aprons, painted skulls, and even a place to get a hair cut.

Music is always playing. The sound of the bass from bands such as ´ Koffin Kats,” “ Mad Sin”, “ Deadbolt” and many more bands lingered in the air.

And the bands weren’t the only one’s to rock the main stage. In between band sets, several Pin Up girls strutted on stage, for the Pin Up contest, Beautiful girls bringing the sexiness and class of the 50's into the 21st century.

Ink and Iron is definitely a place where tattoos are definitely not taboo. A place where standing out is encouraged, and bearing ink on your skin is just a right of passage. All apart of Ink and Iron

okay that was my little story line, or my intro to my experience at ink & iron. I was actually pretty cool, I always like to see people and cultures that are different from myself. And besides actually being there the people who I was with were pretty freakin amazing. We were always laughing and joking or just plain talking half the time. It's just nice to be around good people. people that can just chill and appreciate the day, and people that are down f or anything. People that will drive 5 hours to hang out with you and experience something they haven't done before. People that you just feel good around and you can be yourself.
thats what it's all about

okay but the craziest thing I saw was a guy , that was tatted from the top of his back, through his but and onto his legs. And i saw it all ladies and gentlemen
