la club experience

This past weekend I went to two different clubs and my experience was almost exactly the same...odd, maybe however i am starting to think this might a trend.
Friday night:
the first club I went to I was told was a pretty new club, however it seemed to be doing well because before I even walked up to the door, almost every girl was dressed in small dresses and high heels. The way people dress can totally set the mood of the club. And when I met up with my friends and waited in the guestlist line as the girls walked down the line checking off names off the guest listing using their ipads, i thought this place must be a big deal.
We walked in, gave the lady our guest list pass that got us in for free, then continued walking up velvet carpeted stairs to get to the lounge.
The place was pretty flashy, lights everyone, a very large bar right when you walked in. The patio area was nice with plenty of chairs and couches, and a really nice view of downtown la. After getting some of my friends got a few drinks and relaxed outside we started to head towards the dance floor. It was still really early so i wasn't expecting the music to be that good. That's when Dj A Ron came on, and my beautiful but most often short relationship within in the dance floor and began again. Dj A Ron had be dancing throughout his whole set, playing dance songs you can groove too, dance too, shake your ass to. And they weren't song you can just switch on the radio to hear. They were the classic hits from the 90s and early 2000. songs like...temperature by sean paul. It was nice to get excited about the music instead of mindlessly dancing to whatever played.
But of course the fun didn't last forever, because towards the end of the night they started playng top 40 and techno. I was over it
Saturday: I was performing with the art or die show doing a belly dancing number. After my performance I got to dance on the floor. Again I was in a trance. Feeling the music to the extreme listening to the hard base, strong beats and rhythms. Music is such a beautiful compilation of sounds when done right. but of course towards the end of the night techno took over. And as I stood an watched people on the floor no one was dancing. Everyone was just moving, fist pumping and in my opinion mindlessly jumping around to sound.
No offense to people who like techno, but i hate it. I hate it because it's to simple and you can't really dance or groove to it. U pick one repetitive motion to do and your stuck with it. Not the dance floor experience i prefer.
shortly after his set, some other clone dj came on and played techno and top 40 and top 40 mixed with techno
